Do trans+ adults living in England experience a postcode lottery in gender-affirming healthcare?

Purpose
This study seeks to determine whether access to gender-affirming healthcare for trans+ adults in England is affected by a 'postcode lottery'. The outcome of this study will inform subsequent research investigating strategies for improving the provision and practice of gender-affirming care for trans+ adults in England.
Summary of Representation
422 responses (after validation)
41 of the 42 NHS Integrated Care Board catchment areas were represented
305 participants signed-up to receive updates on future research
51% of participants sought masculinising interventions, while 49% sought feminising
34% of participants identified their gender as non-binary+, 29% binary male and 37% binary female
